As a GIS Specialist within the Process Service team in Vienna, you will play a critical role in the digitalization and maintenance of agricultural land data. This position is essential for enabling farmers to apply for agricultural subsidies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve the interpretation of aerial photography and satellite imagery to accurately digitize agricultural plots within the internal INVEKOS-GIS system. You will also be responsible for evaluating and auditing existing digital land records to ensure data integrity. Required Skills

Education

Degree or qualification in Geography, Biology, Geoinformatics, or a related field with geographic knowledge.

Experience

  • Professional experience with Geoinformation Systems (GIS) and graphic/photo editing software
  • Demonstrated knowledge in geography, biology, or agricultural land management (specifically field and alpine farming)
  • Experience in interpreting landscape photography and aerial imagery
  • Proven ability to perform precise, independent work with high attention to detail
