Job Summary

This role at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Braunschweig focuses on technical facility management for scientific and experimental research infrastructure. As an Electrical Engineer, you will take on the role of the client representative, overseeing construction management, project steering, and controlling for building measures. Your daily responsibilities include preparing project concepts, coordinating with state authorities, and managing external architects and specialist engineers throughout all HOAI service phases (1-9). You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with public building regulations, occupational safety, and cost management. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or a related field relevant to the activity.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of practical experience in managing large construction projects with a focus on electrical engineering in a research environment
  • Professional experience in extensive renovation, maintenance, and refurbishment projects for public sector clients
  • Proven experience in planning and site management of technical building equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in steering external planning offices
  • Practical experience in cross-trade planning of building systems technology
