Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive monitoring and operation of technical building systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical installations at FH Münster. As a technician in the Building Management Department, you will be responsible for developing concepts and specifications for measurement, control, and regulation (MSR) technology. Your daily tasks include adjusting programming to optimize control systems, diagnosing and rectifying faults in general building technology, and maintaining both hardware and software for Building Management Systems (GLT). You will also support the on-call standby team. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract, flexible working hours, and the opportunity for mobile work within a stable public service environment (TV-L 9b). It offers a diverse technical landscape ranging from hands-on maintenance to sophisticated system programming and visualization.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training with further qualification as a state-certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister), ideally in Building Systems Technology or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in measurement, control, and regulation (MSR) technology and building management systems (GLT)
- Experience with Building Management Systems such as JCI, Saja, or Kieback & Peter
- Technical experience in maintaining and updating hardware and software for building systems
- Experience in programming and optimizing control technology
- Familiarity with standard communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, KNX, LON)
