This role involves joining a multidisciplinary team of biologists and engineers at Hessen Mobil's headquarters in Wiesbaden to manage nature conservation projects related to road and cycle path infrastructure. Day-to-day, the specialist will conduct spatial analyses of flora and fauna, prepare service descriptions for external engineering contracts, and calculate costs for conservation services. A significant portion of the role focuses on creating and reviewing technical documents such as species protection reports and Natura 2000 (FFH) impact assessments. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, FH-Diplom, or equivalent) in Biology, Landscape Management, Landscape Planning, Landscape Architecture, or Landscape Ecology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in nature conservation, including extensive knowledge of flora and fauna
  • Practical experience in environmental and nature conservation law
  • Experience in conducting or supporting faunal mapping and ecological surveys
  • Experience in creating species protection reports (ASB) and FFH compatibility studies
  • Experience in public procurement for professional engineering services is preferred
