Job Summary
As an IT Systems Administrator for the City of Amberg, you will join a dedicated IT department supporting approximately 800 core employees, along with various subsidiaries, associations, and schools. Your daily responsibilities will involve the configuration, maintenance, and further development of complex system environments, including Active Directory, VMware, and Microsoft 365. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of core hardware such as networks, servers, and storage, while also providing high-level IT support and error analysis. The role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy project-based work and infrastructure documentation. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in Microsoft server and client environments
- Practical experience with server virtualization using VMware
- Comprehensive experience in network administration including LAN and WLAN
- Experience in managing Microsoft 365 tenants and Office 365 tools
- Experience in IT support, system maintenance, and troubleshooting
