Job Summary
This role involves working within a 5-7 person team in the Application Support and Programming department, primarily focusing on the maintenance and development of specialized software for the municipal drainage utility (ESW) in Witten. Key responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of existing applications, defining requirements, and developing or selecting new software solutions. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving the city's digitalization initiatives, aiming for fully automated processes, and providing expert advice on software usage. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to significant digital transformation projects within the public sector, with the flexibility of partial home office after an initial training period, and a focus on continuous improvement and user support.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist or a related vocational qualification, or a university degree in Computer Science.
Experience
- Professional experience in project work
- Experience in the public service is advantageous
- Familiarity with enaio DMS system application and configuration is ideal
Languages
Additional
- Must possess a Class B (or Class 3) driving license and be willing to use a private car for official purposes (with reimbursement) or a company car as required. Strong understanding of gender equality issues is expected.
