Job Summary

This high-level leadership role involves managing a team of approximately 15 process engineers focused on production technologies within the powder metallurgical value chain for refractory metals. You will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and budgeting OPEx projects, while optimizing production processes in close collaboration with production line managers. The role acts as a bridge between production, quality assurance, and R&D, overseeing everything from powder production to the finished component. You will coordinate cross-site projects and product transfers within a global production network, using data-driven analysis to monitor and enhance manufacturing efficiency. This position is ideal for a strategic leader who enjoys a mix of technical oversight and operational management, offering significant creative freedom and access to a global network of research partners and internal experts in a modern working environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Materials Science, Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (PhD optional).

Experience

Proven leadership experience or extensive practice in strategic project management
Several years of professional experience in process optimization
Comprehensive expertise in powder metallurgy or production automation across the value chain
Demonstrated experience in data evaluation and data-based process analysis
Experience managing cross-site projects and global production networks
