Job Summary

As a Data Engineer within the Analytics Tribe, you will join an agile team responsible for the end-to-end development, automation, and scaling of a hybrid cloud data platform. Your daily activities involve managing on-premises infrastructure using Docker and OpenShift, while simultaneously building out cloud-based platforms utilizing Databricks. You will design robust data pipelines with a focus on governance and performance, working closely with over 900 banks to integrate data and deploy production-ready solutions. This role is unique for its 'full-stack' data responsibility, combining infrastructure-as-code with direct client consulting. You will be part of a major digitalization partner for the German cooperative financial group, contributing to the digital banking experience of 30 million customers. The position offers significant flexibility, including remote work options and customizable working hours between 30 and 40 hours per week, supported by a structured onboarding process and extensive professional development opportunities.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Multiple years of professional experience in the field of Data Engineering
  • Extensive experience in developing and orchestrating data pipelines with tools like Apache Airflow
  • Practical experience in containerized environments including Docker and OpenShift
  • Proven experience with Databricks environments including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
  • Experience in client-facing or consulting-oriented roles
