Job Summary

As an Environmental Planning Engineer for Autobahn GmbH, you will play a critical role in managing the environmental impact of Germany's extensive highway infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities include preparing environmental and nature conservation expert reports, conducting Environmental Impact Studies (UVS), and overseeing FFH assessments and landscape conservation plans. You will act as a key liaison, coordinating with public authorities, stakeholders, and external engineering firms to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the planning and approval processes. Additionally, you will manage the procurement and execution of landscaping works, from tender creation to final acceptance and functional monitoring of compensatory measures. This position offers the unique opportunity to work for one of Germany's largest infrastructure operators, contributing to sustainable mobility and large-scale public projects within a secure, permanent employment framework. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Management, Landscape Planning, Landscape Ecology, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in environmental planning, specifically regarding road or rail infrastructure projects
  • Experience in managing public-law approval procedures and plan approval processes
  • Experience in the supervision and coordination of external engineering offices
  • Experience in tendering, awarding, and accounting for engineering and landscaping services
  • Proven ability to work independently in interdisciplinary teams
