Job Summary
This research position at the University of Wuppertal offers a unique opportunity to pursue a PhD while contributing to cutting-edge projects in electrical power supply. You will be responsible for the collection, processing, and evaluation of diagnostic data from various network equipment, utilizing data mining techniques to build and analyze condition assessment databases. Your day-to-day work involves developing aging and condition models, performing statistical analyses, and conducting laboratory tests in a high-voltage facility. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (preferably Power Engineering) or Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electrical/Power Engineering, with at least a 'good' grade.
Experience
- Professional experience or advanced academic training in electrical engineering or industrial engineering
- Proven knowledge of high-voltage equipment and electrical network asset management
- Experience in independent scientific research and handling complex technical topics
- Experience in data analysis and model development for electrical components
