Job Summary
As a Civil Engineering Technician for the Bernkastel-Kues municipal utilities, you will play a vital role in managing water supply, wastewater disposal, and energy infrastructure for a region of 28,000 residents. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the planning and implementation of civil engineering projects, preparing tenders, and overseeing construction sites through to final acceptance and cost control. You will act as a key liaison between engineering firms, specialized contractors, and local authorities while ensuring strict adherence to occupational safety standards. Required Skills
Education
State-certified technician in the field of construction technology with a focus on civil engineering (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker Fachrichtung Bautechnik, Schwerpunkt Tiefbau) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the planning, construction, and maintenance of supply and disposal lines and systems
- Proven experience in construction supervision, including acceptance and billing processes
- Experience in coordinating with engineering offices, specialized companies, and authorities
- Experience in creating cost estimates and managing project budgets
