Job Summary
As a System Administrator for Linux and Docker at Ippen.Media, you will be a key player in the central IT service provider for one of Germany's leading digital publishers. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the conceptual design, deployment, and maintenance of a complex IT infrastructure, with a specific focus on providing container images within Docker platforms. You will manage virtualized server environments using VMware and NetApp while ensuring high standards for security and data protection. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to actively shape the company's DevOps culture and collaborate across various IT departments. The position is highly flexible, offering a hybrid work model and the choice of working from several major German cities including Munich, Frankfurt, or Kassel. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration), a university degree in Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in building and operating self-hosted virtualized servers and clusters
- Holistic understanding of Continuous Delivery processes and associated tools
- Experience in managing virtualized environments including VMware and NetApp
- Proven track record in providing and maintaining container images in Docker platforms
- Experience working within a DevOps-oriented culture is preferred
