Job Summary
As an Electrical Operations Engineer specializing in Instrumentation, Control (I&C), and Automation, you will lead the development, implementation, and commissioning of technical solutions for production, loading, and energy generation facilities. Your daily responsibilities include managing full project lifecycles—from initial investment planning and technical specification to procurement and final commissioning. You will be responsible for the software, hardware, and network maintenance of the OT system landscape, performing diagnostics and repairs while ensuring all electrical systems meet regulatory standards. A key aspect of this role is the disciplinary and technical leadership of the functional team, collaborating across departments to optimize operational processes. This position offers a high-impact opportunity to shape industrial automation within a major minerals and agriculture environment, combining technical expertise with strategic project management and team leadership.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma or Master of Science) in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Automation Technology
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in process instrumentation
- Extensive experience in the application of electrical standards, guidelines, and accident prevention regulations
- Proven experience in programming process control systems and implementing automation solutions
- Experience in technical project management including planning, specification, and procurement
- Experience in disciplinary and technical leadership of employees
