This role serves as a Civil Protection and Crisis Management Officer within Berlin's Senate Department for the Interior and Sport, doubling as a Deputy Group Lead. You will be responsible for developing strategic concepts for disaster control and managing the 'Lagebild Berlin' (situational awareness report). Day-to-day activities include monitoring emerging crisis situations, coordinating with disaster management authorities, and participating in national security committees and research projects. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent university degree in a field suitable for the higher administrative service; or fulfillment of career requirements for the second entry level of career group 2 (higher service) in general administration, police, or fire service.
Experience
- Professional experience working in special organizational structures, command staffs, or projects within law enforcement or security agencies
- Proven experience in managing crisis situations, either administratively or operatively, including staff work and temporary administrative structures
- Experience in creating situational reports and conducting risk assessments
- Experience in the technical and organizational design of complex task management

Additional
- Must be eligible for or possess a 'Secret' level security clearance (VS-Ermächtigung Geheim). Willingness to undergo an extended security screening (SÜ2) is mandatory. Must be willing to participate in on-call duties or shift models as required. Position is based in Berlin-Mitte.
