This role involves the comprehensive management of automation systems for an engineering sector client in Ulm. As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for the commissioning of application hardware, including the adjustment and parameterization of sensors, actuators, and control loops. A significant portion of the day-to-day work involves optimizing processes for 240 robots to enhance quality, availability, and cycle times. You will perform safety checks, handle complex automation projects, and provide technical training to production and maintenance teams. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in a metal, IT, or electrical occupation (e.g., Electronics Technician with further training) or a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Technology.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable role within automation or electrical engineering
  • Practical experience in commissioning and parameterizing application hardware
  • Experience in optimizing robotic workflows and cycle times
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting and post-processing PLC programs
