Job Summary

As a Laboratory Technician at the Weihenstephan dairy in Freising, you will play a critical role in ensuring the premium quality and safety of dairy products such as milk, butter, and yogurt. Working within a 3-shift system, your daily responsibilities include performing chemical-physical, sensory, and microbiological analyses on raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products. You will monitor the entire production cycle from milk intake to the final product, documenting results and collaborating closely with quality management, production, and technical departments. Additionally, you will support research and development by analyzing new products and validating analytical methods. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Dairy Laboratory Technician, Agricultural Technical Assistant, Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Technician, BTA, CTA, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in microbiological or chemical-physical laboratory analytics is preferred
  • Experience in the dairy or food processing industry is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in documenting laboratory results and cross-departmental communication
  • Experience working within a shift-based environment (early, late, and night shifts)
