Job Summary
This high-level leadership role involves overseeing the comprehensive financial health and strategic direction of the Municipality of Erndtebrück. As the Treasurer, you will be responsible for the overall management of municipal budget planning, monitoring, and control, as well as the preparation of annual financial statements. You will lead the Finance and Real Estate department, advising administrative leadership and political bodies on all fiscal matters. The position is unique for its structured transition period, starting in October 2026 with a five-month handover phase before full assumption of duties in March 2027. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who wants to drive digital transformation and innovative administrative processes within a modern, service-oriented local government. You will balance technical financial oversight with personnel leadership, ensuring a legally compliant and efficient organization that serves approximately 7,000 residents.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (e.g., Bachelor of Laws) or equivalent qualification for high-level civil service (Laufbahnbefähigung).
Experience
- Professional experience in municipal budget planning and financial control
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage staff
- Experience in municipal tax and levy law
- Proven track record in strategic decision-making and administrative modernization
