Job Summary
As a Device Management Engineer at GEA Refrigeration Germany GmbH, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between industrial hardware and digital connectivity. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the commissioning of IIoT components, performing remote and on-site troubleshooting, and managing firmware updates to ensure seamless communication between gateways and platforms. You will act as a technical guide for Field Service Engineers, providing them with training and best practices for remote access support. The role requires a strong technical foundation in industrial protocols like MQTT and OPC-UA, alongside a methodical approach to log analysis and system diagnostics. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical degree (University/Fachhochschule) or completed vocational training with relevant professional experience in IIoT or industrial networking.
Experience
- Professional experience in IIoT, networking, or industrial connectivity environments
- Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices such as gateways, routers, and switches
- Experience with industrial integration scenarios and communication architectures
- Experience in technical diagnosis and providing user-facing support
- Experience in training or providing technical guidance to service personnel
