Job Summary

This role is situated within a leading biopharmaceutical stem cell company in Heidelberg, focusing on the development of innovative stem cell therapies for rare and inflammatory diseases. As a Biological Technical Assistant in Quality Control, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). Your daily responsibilities include performing GMP-compliant analysis using flow cytometry, ELISA, and qPCR, as well as managing cell cultures and conducting microbiological environmental monitoring in cleanroom environments. You will also be involved in documenting deviations (OOS/CAPA) and assisting in the validation of modern analytical methods. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), Biology Laboratory Technician, or a Bachelor's degree in a biological field of study.

Experience

  • Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in handling primary cells and cell cultures
  • Professional experience with analytical methods including flow cytometry, ELISA, and qPCR
  • Experience in hygiene and microbiological environmental monitoring is preferred
  • Familiarity with GMP requirements and quality-relevant processes
  • Experience in documenting deviations and OOS (Out of Specification) events
