Job Summary
This role is based within the Facility Management department of Hamburg's public transport provider (HOCHBAHN), specifically focusing on administrative buildings. As a Technical Specialist or Master Craftsman, you will be responsible for the seamless operation of fire alarm systems, employee identification systems, and access control technology. Your daily routine involves managing both hardware and software, coordinating maintenance and updates with internal and external stakeholders, and performing detailed error analysis. Beyond operational maintenance, you will lead or support projects for new construction and system renewals, overseeing the entire lifecycle from planning and tendering to warranty tracking. This position is particularly attractive due to its high level of social security, flexible working models (including mobile work), and the opportunity to contribute to the safety and infrastructure of Hamburg's public transit system.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Master Craftsman (Meister), Technician, or a University Degree specializing in Information and Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Building Technology, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the operation, support, or management of technical systems
- Professional experience specifically with fire alarm systems, access control, or security technology
- Experience in project management, including tendering and awarding contracts
- Experience in system documentation and maintenance strategy development

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Participation in on-call duty (Bereitschaftsdienst) is required. Must have the right to work in Hamburg, Germany.
