Job Summary

As a Systems Engineer specializing in RAM and Functional Safety, you will join the Safety Business Center to strengthen project teams focused on railway applications. Your daily responsibilities include developing pioneering, safety-critical system solutions for highly complex electronic systems with a heavy emphasis on Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM). You will be responsible for conceptualizing and conducting rigorous safety analyses, including FMEA, Hazard Analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), while ensuring all development projects comply with industry-specific standards. This role offers a high degree of flexibility, including the option for full remote work after an initial onboarding period. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Experimental Physics, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in system or software development is preferred
  • Experience in performing availability and reliability calculations
  • Practical experience in conducting safety analysis methods such as FMEA and FTA
  • Familiarity with railway operations and industry-specific products
  • Initial experience with relevant railway safety standards (EN 5012X)
  • Exposure to train control and protection systems like ETCS, PZB, or LZB
