Job Summary
This role is for a proactive Business Development & Marketing Manager specializing in cell line development and bioprocessing within the biopharma sector. The successful candidate will drive strategic growth and market expansion by developing and executing commercial strategies, conducting market analyses, and representing UGA Biopharma at key industry events. A core part of the role involves identifying and engaging new biotech, biopharma, and CDMO clients, nurturing strong relationships, and managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation. Additionally, the manager will lead marketing efforts, creating compelling digital content, managing the company website, and orchestrating email campaigns and virtual events to enhance global brand presence and generate leads. This position requires a blend of scientific understanding and business acumen to effectively bridge technical and commercial teams.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or comparable field. Additional qualifications in Marketing, Business Administration, or Digital Marketing are advantageous.
Experience
- At least 5 years in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing within the Biopharma, CDMO, or Biotech industry
- Deep understanding of cell line development, upstream processes, and biologics manufacturing
- Experience in B2B marketing, digital lead generation, and event management
