Job Summary
This role involves developing hardware-oriented software for medical devices within a strictly regulated EN 62304-compliant environment. As part of the PHOTONIC (WILD Group) team in Vienna, you will be responsible for the entire software lifecycle, from requirement management and architectural design to risk analysis and detailed design. A significant portion of the role focuses on developing software solutions to support medical device manufacturing and conducting rigorous hardware-related testing, including unit and integration tests. You will also be responsible for standard-compliant documentation and supporting verification and validation tests with customers and accredited bodies. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical education (HTL, FH, or University) in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science.
Experience
- Professional experience in technical software development or embedded systems
- Experience in hardware-oriented software development for medical products
- Practical experience with software modeling languages such as UML or SysML
- Experience in creating software architecture, detailed design, and risk analyses
- Proven experience with version control systems like Git or SVN
