Job Summary
Join a small, dedicated team as a Species Protection Specialist, focusing on the assessment and protection of various animal and plant species, particularly avifauna, herpetofauna, and other FFH species. This role involves extensive fieldwork, spending at least half of your time outdoors conducting surveys and collecting data, often during early mornings or late evenings. You will also be responsible for office-based tasks, including evaluating findings and preparing expert reports and conservation measures, with the flexibility to work from the office or home. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge of wildlife and conservation methods within a supportive environment, contributing to significant renewable energy projects.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Biology or equivalent
Experience
- Professional experience in species protection and nature conservation (advantageous)
- Experience in fieldwork and various mapping methods
- Entry-level candidates are welcome
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driving license
- Time flexibility, including willingness to work early mornings or late evenings
- Unrestricted suitability for work near railway operations and on scaffolding
