This role is based within the IT and Information Security department of the State Office for Statistics Lower Saxony (LSN) in Hannover. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the conceptual design, new development, and maintenance of web applications used by federal and state statistical offices. Your daily work involves utilizing a modern tech stack including Java, Spring Boot, and React to support critical administrative processes, such as electronic data collection and the Lower Saxony voting system. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, or a related IT field; or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in software development, specifically in designing and maintaining web applications
- Practical experience or demonstrated ability to quickly learn Java, JSF, React, or Spring Boot
- Experience in working with existing IT procedures and projects independently
- Experience with development tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or Maven is preferred
