Job Summary

As an Installation Planning Engineer for rail vehicles, you will serve as a critical bridge between engineering and production. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve supporting the manufacturing, testing, and commissioning phases of rolling stock projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for the engineering team in Valenciennes, ensuring seamless communication and technical alignment. A significant portion of the role focuses on reviewing technical drawings, bills of materials, and electrical documentation to ensure production feasibility. You will be responsible for coordinating change requests based on electrical schematics and participating in daily on-site electrical reviews. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy being physically present in a manufacturing environment, as it requires high on-site availability (4-5 days per week) to oversee complex development projects and maintain high quality standards in electrical assembly.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or vocational training as an Electronics Technician, ideally supplemented by further qualification as a Master Electrician (Elektromeister).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the review and evaluation of technical documents, electrical assemblies, and circuit diagrams
  • Experience in coordinating technical change requests and aligning engineering designs with production standards
  • Practical experience in supporting production, testing, and commissioning processes
  • Experience working as a technical liaison between cross-functional or international engineering teams
