Job Summary
As a (Junior) Web Developer at CHECK24, you will join a dynamic FinTech environment focused on revolutionizing digital consumer services. This full-stack role involves the end-to-end development of innovative features, ranging from frontend and backend implementation to database management. You will work within an agile team, participating in pair programming, code reviews, and collaborating closely with product management to enhance the user experience for over 20 million customers. Beyond coding, you will take ownership of technical concepts, perform releases, and manage server configurations using Infrastructure as Code. Required Skills
Education
University degree in IT (Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, or similar) or vocational training as an IT Specialist for Application Development.
Experience
- Professional experience or practical experience from internships/working student roles in web development
- Experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, PHP, C#, Python, Java, or C++)
- Experience with version control and collaborative development via Pull Requests and Code Reviews
- Experience with modern web frameworks and tools such as React, Webpack, or Axios is preferred

Additional
- Location: Dortmund, Germany. Requires proficiency in German at a minimum C1 level. Position involves ownership of technical topics and potential for leadership career paths.
