Job Summary

This role involves establishing and managing a systematic, software-supported energy management system for municipal properties in the Friesland district. As a Municipal Energy Manager, you will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and analysis of energy consumption across administrative buildings, schools, and daycare centers to identify optimization potentials and reduce CO2 emissions. Your day-to-day tasks include creating energy reports for political committees, conceptualizing energy-saving projects, and providing technical advice for new construction and renovation projects. You will also oversee technical systems, manage financial subsidies, and sensitize building users to energy-efficient behaviors. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a scenic coastal region while contributing directly to the district's goal of CO2 neutrality. The role is based in Jever and is attractive due to its flexible working hours, home office options, and the stability of a public service contract (TVöD E11) until December 2028.
