Job Summary
This role involves the programming and visualization of PLC control systems for a diverse range of production plants, including special-purpose machinery in the packaging, textile, and logistics industries, as well as chemical processing plants. You will be responsible for both the programming of new installations and the modernization of existing legacy systems (retrofit). A significant part of the role includes the commissioning of these systems across Germany, Europe, and globally. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy variety, as it spans multiple engineering sectors and involves direct on-site implementation. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Engineering, or a certified Technician/Master Craftsman qualification in a relevant technical field.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable automation or electrical engineering position
- Proven experience in programming PLC systems and creating visualization interfaces
- Experience in commissioning industrial plants on a national or international level
- Practical experience in the modernization of existing industrial equipment
Languages
Additional
- Valid driver's license (Class B) and a willingness to travel worldwide (minimum 30% travel) are required. Work locations available across various North Rhine-Westphalia cities including Düsseldorf, Aachen, and Dortmund.
