Job Summary
This role is situated within the Senate Department for Health, Care, and Research in Berlin, specifically focusing on the non-university research landscape and the Charité. As an Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, and auditing of funding guidelines for prestigious research institutions such as the Museum für Naturkunde and various German Centers for Health Research (DZG). Your daily tasks will include managing institutional funding, issuing grant notifications, and preparing statements for supervisory board meetings. You will also conduct preliminary audits of expenditure proofs and manage project-based funding. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the administrative framework of one of Europe's most vibrant research hubs. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Economics, or a related field; or completed vocational training as an Office Management Assistant/Administrative Assistant with successful completion of the Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II).
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration or office management
- Desirable: At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of joint-funded support for non-university research institutions
- Experience in processing institutional funding and grant notifications
- Experience in auditing financial proofs and conducting hearing procedures
