Job Summary

As a Senior Lead Researcher within the 'Power and Renewable Gas Systems' unit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mobile power electronics for electric vehicles, maritime, and aerospace applications. Your day-to-day involves managing a high-impact research portfolio, acquiring funding through national and international programs like Horizon Europe, and leading interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative technical solutions. You will act as a strategic scientific leader, mentoring junior staff and collaborating with high-profile stakeholders including OEMs and semiconductor manufacturers. This position is unique for its blend of high-level scientific research and industrial application, offering the chance to define research roadmaps and represent the organization in global expert panels. The role is based in a leading research center, providing a stable, permanent contract with significant opportunities for leadership development and scientific visibility through publications and international conferences.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical studies (Master of Science required; PhD is considered a plus) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in conceptualization, simulation, and modeling of power electronics
  • Proven experience in leading and managing national and international research projects
  • Experience in personnel development, including mentoring and conducting development talks
  • Demonstrated expertise in scientific dissemination through high-impact publications and conference presentations
  • Experience in acquiring research funding and managing customer projects
  • Experience working with industry stakeholders such as OEMs and semiconductor manufacturers
