Job Summary
This role involves establishing and leading a municipal energy management system for the City of Melle based on Kom.EMS standards. You will be responsible for the day-to-day introduction of IT-supported energy management systems to increase efficiency across public properties. Key tasks include the collection, analysis, and evaluation of energy and water consumption data, as well as the planning and implementation of concrete energy-saving measures. You will also optimize control parameters in technical energy systems and provide expert advice to building users on energy conservation. This position is particularly attractive as it offers a crisis-proof public sector role with a salary up to EG 11 TVöD, modern benefits like mobile working and bike leasing, and the opportunity to significantly impact local climate goals. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Energy Technology, Technical Building Services (TGA), Building Automation, Supply Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field. Alternatively, a qualification as a Technician or Master Craftsman in a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in energy technology, supply engineering, or electrical engineering
- Experience in applying energy industry laws and relevant technical standards
- Proven experience in project management
- Several years of professional experience required if applying with a Technician or Master Craftsman qualification

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Position is based in Melle, Germany. Full-time (39 hours/week) with possibility of part-time split if service requirements allow.
