Job Summary
As a PLC Programmer at Viega’s new production site in Kirkel, you will serve as the technical lead and troubleshooter for industrial automation systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the maintenance, fault rectification, and continuous optimization of modern production and assembly lines. You will be responsible for designing, programming, and implementing PLC software to ensure maximum efficiency and safety. Beyond coding, you will act as a key technical consultant for the planning and procurement of new machinery and support colleagues with complex electrotechnical issues. This role is particularly attractive as it offers the chance to be part of a 'start-up' team at a brand-new location, supported by a structured onboarding process and a personal mentor. It is a high-impact position where you can actively shape the automation landscape of a leading technology company in the installation industry.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Technician, Master Craftsman (Meister), or Engineer specializing in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, or a comparable qualification as a PLC Technician.
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in an industrial environment, specifically in programming and maintenance
- Proven expertise in PLC software development and implementation
- Experience in troubleshooting complex electrotechnical and automation systems
- Experience with industrial communication systems and version control administration
- Background in mechanical affinity or fluid power systems (Pneumatics/Hydraulics) is preferred
