This role involves conducting critical field investigations and sampling within the sectors of geotechnics, environmental monitoring, and groundwater research. As a technician, your day-to-day activities will include performing soil, pollutant, and water sampling, conducting field measurements, and documenting results according to industry standards like LAGA and DIN. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining modern measurement equipment and planning your own field assignments, which may include multi-day trips. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Building Materials Tester, Technician in Geotechnics/Environment/Construction, Industrial Mechanic, Electrical Technician, or equivalent technical qualification).
Experience
- Professional experience in sampling, field service, or a geotechnical environment is preferred
- Experience in operating and maintaining technical measurement equipment
- Experience in digital data collection and standardized documentation
- Experience in conducting field tests such as ram sounding or drilling support
Languages
Additional
- Driver's license class B required (BE is an advantage). Willingness to travel for multi-day field assignments and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Location: Westheim, Germany.
