Job Summary

As a Hardware Development Engineer at Brunel, you will play a pivotal role in developing electronic infrastructure for complex aerospace systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve creating essential construction documents, including circuit diagrams and technical descriptions, which define the electrical design requirements for high-performance hardware. You will actively participate in and lead design reviews, while also overseeing electrical testing, troubleshooting, and hardware validation through to product qualification. This role extends to the development of supporting test articles, fixtures, and wiring harnesses as needed. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in hardware development, preferably within the aerospace or electronics sector
  • Practical experience in designing and troubleshooting DC-DC or AC power supplies
  • Experience using hardware design tools such as Altium Designer and SVN repositories
  • Experience in creating technical documentation, circuit diagrams, and hardware descriptions
  • Experience participating in or leading design reviews and product qualification processes
