Job Summary
This senior leadership role oversees the entire technical infrastructure for a major bakery production subsidiary of the EDEKA Group. As the Technical Director, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of maintenance, production technology, building services, and technical project management across multiple sites. Your daily activities will involve ensuring high plant availability, managing investment and optimization projects, and leading technical teams and managers. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with food safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations while managing budgets and cost control. This position is ideal for an experienced leader from the food industry who enjoys a mix of strategic planning and hands-on operational excellence. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, a direct reporting line to general management, and the stability of a market-leading company with a family-oriented work atmosphere.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in a technical field (Engineering) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in the food industry or a comparable manufacturing environment
- Extensive experience in maintenance management and automation technology
- Proven track record in successful technical project management
- Experience in disciplinary and functional leadership of technical teams and managers
- Professional experience in budget management and cost control

- Willingness to undertake regular business travel to the Berlin site is required. Must have strong communication skills and a structured, solution-oriented working style.
