Job Summary
As an Electrical Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in rebuilding and modernizing the company's production capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be porting an existing portfolio of reliable systems into the next decade through innovative re-designs using state-of-the-art technology. This role is highly entrepreneurial, requiring you to lead innovations from the initial idea through to high-performance manufacturing. You will be expected to make clear decisions, recognize technological opportunities, and set new standards rather than just following existing processes. The position offers significant creative freedom and a commitment to work-life balance, including flexible four or five-day work weeks. You will handle everything from microcontroller technology and analog circuit design to creating bills of materials and testing instructions, all while maintaining a focus on cost-sensitive planning and organizational leadership.
Required Skills
Education
Completed University Degree (Hochschulstudium) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering and system re-design
- Demonstrated experience in leading innovations from concept to production
- Experience in creating technical documentation, circuit diagrams, and test instructions
- Experience with microcontroller platforms such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino
- Leadership experience and organizational management skills
Languages
Additional
- Valid driver's license (PKW-Führerschein) required. Location options include Rötha (near Leipzig) or Wilsdruff (near Dresden). Knowledge of Spanish or French is considered an advantage but not required.
