Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to lead sophisticated projects within the thermal process engineering sector, focusing on sustainable energy solutions like waste-to-energy, sewage sludge recycling, and biomass power plants. As a Project Manager, you will take full technical responsibility for the planning, tendering, and construction supervision of energy and environmental technology plants. Beyond daily project coordination, you will manage internal departments, external partners, and maintain communication with clients and authorities. You will be responsible for ensuring deadlines, costs, and quality standards are met while actively shaping the energy transition. The position is ideal for an experienced engineer looking for a stable, appreciative environment with flexible work models, including two days of mobile work per week, and a clear path for professional development and further training in new technical fields.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Energy and Environmental Technology, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management
  • Proven experience with thermal processes such as waste incineration, district heating, or CHP
  • Experience working with public sector clients and regulatory authorities

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model (up to 2 days remote). Must have knowledge of German-specific regulatory frameworks (HOAI, VOB).
