Job Summary
This role offers a focused entry-point into the field of molecular biology and infectious disease diagnostics. As a Student Assistant in Sample Management, you will be responsible for the critical first steps of the laboratory workflow. Your day-to-day activities will include managing sample logistics within the department, transporting samples, and utilizing laboratory IT systems. You will be tasked with preparing biological samples for subsequent analysis while strictly adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality regulations, and safety norms. This position is ideal for students or individuals seeking part-time evening work, as the schedule is fixed for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Working within a modern healthcare environment, you will receive intensive training and have the opportunity to participate in internal professional development, making it an excellent practical supplement to scientific studies.
Required Skills
Education
Currently enrolled student or equivalent qualification in a scientific field (Molecular Biology or related) preferred.
Experience
- Basic knowledge in infectious disease diagnostics and molecular biology is preferred
- Experience working with computer and IT systems (EDV) is desirable
- Professional experience working in a structured and detail-oriented manner
- Experience working within a team environment
