Job Summary
As a Data Engineer at the St. Gallen headquarters, you will act as a bridge-builder, transforming raw data into valuable business insights. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve building and optimizing data pipelines, integrating new data sources, and providing transformed data products for analysis and machine learning models. You will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's feature store and ensuring high standards of data quality, governance, and lineage. Working closely with Data Scientists and Business Analysts, you will help meet complex data requirements and support the integration of AI-driven initiatives. This position is unique for its broad scope of influence, ranging from technical pipeline development to cross-company collaborations. It offers the chance to work in a small, dedicated team where you can actively shape the future of data integration and decision-making processes within a professional financial environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Uni/ETH, FH, HF) in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in an equivalent Data Engineering position
- Proven experience in complex data querying and modeling using SQL, Python, and dbt
- Practical experience in creating and managing data pipelines and versioning code with Git
- Experience working with technical and business stakeholders to fulfill data requirements
- Experience in data visualization and presenting insights to stakeholders
