Job Summary

This role within the Application Engineering Welding team focuses on the commissioning and optimization of automated welding systems. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for the end-to-end setup of both simple mechanized systems and complex robotic installations. Your daily activities will include designing sophisticated sensor and system configurations, conducting feasibility studies using digital simulation and offline programming tools, and establishing precise welding parameters for customer components across various automation projects. Beyond technical setup, you will lead internal and external training sessions and support customers during final acceptance tests. This position is ideal for proactive professionals who enjoy a blend of hands-on technical work and engineering design. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical education (Technician/Meister level) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics. International Welding Specialist (IWS) certification is highly preferred.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience with a focus on electrical engineering or mechatronics
  • Proven experience in robot programming and/or welding technology
  • Experience in commissioning automated systems (from mechanized to robotic)
  • Experience in creating welding parameters for diverse automation projects
