Job Summary

This role involves the independent planning and design of measurement and control automation systems for a prominent industrial automation technology client in Hagen. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for selecting and configuring hardware components and developing application-specific control software. Your day-to-day tasks include creating automation concepts for measuring devices, establishing programming standards, and ensuring the timely delivery of programs for controllers, drives, and visualizations. A unique aspect of this position is the blend of office-based design with hands-on field work, as you will conduct and support commissioning both domestically and internationally. You will also play a key role in knowledge transfer by training project engineers and field staff. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering; or a completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician combined with an Engineering degree or further qualification as a state-certified Electrical Technician.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable field, preferably within the cold rolling industry
  • Proven experience in the design and project planning of automation systems
  • Extensive experience with Siemens automation and drive technology tools
  • Experience in creating automation concepts and standardization
  • Professional experience in commissioning systems both locally and abroad
