Job Summary

This role involves the administration and optimization of server and software components within the Document Center Control Competence Center at NOW IT GmbH. You will be responsible for managing Red Hat Linux and Windows Server environments, focusing on the processing and distribution of document workflows for approximately 17,000 workstations. Day-to-day tasks include advising customers on technical issues, maintaining existing IT solutions, and developing new automated workflows through scripting and Java programming. A key part of the role is configuring standard software and integrating it into existing infrastructures. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor of Science) in Computer Science or a comparable qualification at Level 6 of the German Qualifications Framework (DQR).

Experience

  • Professional experience in server and system administration within Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience in scripting and automating workflows
  • Practical experience in Java development and web technologies
  • Experience working in project groups and handling customer-oriented technical consulting
  • Experience in document preparation and output management is preferred
