Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position based in Hannover offers a pivotal role within the amedes Group, focusing on the future of genetic diagnostics. As a Scientific Associate, you will be responsible for clinical reporting in molecular (hemato-)oncology and somatic genetics, directly influencing individual patient therapy designs. Your day-to-day will involve evaluating Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, liquid biopsies, and bone marrow samples using advanced laboratory information systems like GePaDo and MOLIS. Beyond routine diagnostics, you will play a key role in innovation by optimizing NGS pipelines and developing new analytical methods. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Biology or a comparable natural science discipline; a PhD is welcomed but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in (hemato-)oncological or molecular pathological diagnostics
  • Practical experience with molecular biological and genetic procedures, specifically NGS
  • Experience handling peripheral blood, bone marrow, and FFPE samples
  • Experience in evaluating somatic variants according to WHO and Tier classifications
  • Experience in clinical reporting and utilizing genetic databases is preferred
