Job Summary
In this role, you will act as a technology leader and all-round cloud expert for one of Germany's largest e-commerce companies. You will be responsible for the technical planning, steering, and end-to-end support of cloud projects, including the development, migration, and transformation of modern cloud solutions. Your daily tasks involve implementing technical roadmaps, estimating efforts, and providing cloud services while ensuring optimal resource utilization. A unique aspect of this position is your role in shaping the internal 'toolbox' for developer teams, which includes selecting and provisioning cloud components and managing cost estimations. You will work within an agile mindset to help the company navigate its ongoing digital transformation and maintain its complex IT landscape.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are advantageous.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer specifically with the AWS platform
- Extensive experience in container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker
- Proven track record in Infrastructure as Code and automation tools like Helm and Terraform
- Experience in the development, integration, or migration of software solutions within AWS
- Experience in independent project management for cloud service implementation

- The role requires knowledge of development tools and methods. The position is a full-time, permanent contract (unbefristet) based in Germany.
