Job Summary
As a Metrology Technician, you will serve as the central point of contact for all specialist departments regarding the application and procurement of testing and measurement equipment. Your daily responsibilities include organizing external calibration services, ensuring proper labeling of all equipment, and maintaining documentation within a dedicated database. You will develop calibration standards based on current guidelines (VDI/VDE/DGQ 2618) and support both internal and external audits. A key part of the role involves monitoring processes up to final release, blocking non-compliant equipment when necessary, and generating optimization reports. This position is particularly attractive due to its high level of responsibility in quality assurance, offering a permanent contract with above-tariff compensation, flexible working hours via a flextime account, and the potential for remote work in coordination with the client.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Metrology Technician, Cutting Machine Operator, Industrial Mechanic, or similar). Additional qualifications as a Test Equipment Officer are advantageous.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the metalworking industry
- Extensive experience in handling and managing testing and measurement equipment
- Professional experience as a Test Equipment Officer (Prüfmittelbeauftragter) is highly desirable
- Practical experience in conducting internal and external audits
