Job Summary
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the experimental verification of shock safety for technical equipment. Your daily activities involve creating test specifications and managing the documentation and release processes. A significant portion of the role focuses on technical coordination and interface management, where you will act as a bridge between internal departments like design and production, as well as external stakeholders including international suppliers, test authorities, and customer representatives. You will also provide on-site support during equipment testing at BAAINBw testing centers and sub-supplier facilities. This position is particularly attractive due to its high level of responsibility in safety-critical testing, the opportunity to work with international partners, and the stability of a permanent contract with flexible working hours and home-office options. It is an ideal role for a structured communicator who enjoys technical problem-solving within a process-oriented environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma), specializing in Construction Technology, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, or Physics.
Experience
- Professional experience in creating test specifications and experimental verification
- Experience in technical coordination with international suppliers and authorities
- Experience in document management and release processes
- Professional experience working within multidisciplinary teams (Design/Production)
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel for on-site testing at BAAINBw and sub-supplier locations is required.
