Job Summary
This role involves conducting comprehensive type testing for hardware products within the process industry, specifically focusing on I/O modules, CPUs, and communication modules. As a Type Testing Engineer, your daily activities will center on verifying compliance with international standards and guidelines, with a primary focus on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and environmental testing according to the 61000-4-x series. You will be responsible for utilizing advanced measurement methodologies to ensure product integrity and will play a critical role in documenting results for audits and accreditations. This position is ideal for an electrical engineering professional who enjoys laboratory environments and technical documentation. The role offers a unique opportunity to work with a global digital engineering consultancy, collaborating with prestigious external partners such as DEKRA, TÜV, and UL to ensure the safety and reliability of industrial automation hardware.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or a university degree in the field of Electrical Engineering or Measurement Technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in hardware development or design for industrial applications is desirable
- Practical experience with measurement methodologies and equipment within a laboratory environment
- Experience in the field of hardware fail-safe systems and process control systems is preferred
- Experience collaborating with external certification bodies such as DEKRA, TÜV, or UL is an advantage
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively within a professional team
