As a Bioinformatician at the Institute of Pathology, you will play a central role in a genome sequencing model project, serving as a vital link between pathology and medical informatics. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the independent analysis of sequencing data (Genpanel, WES, and WGS) and the adaptation of bioinformatics pipelines to establish diagnostic workflows. You will participate in tumor boards, interpret complex genomic findings for clinical reporting, and ensure rigorous documentation and quality assurance. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's or higher) in (Medical/Bio) Informatics or a related scientific field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the analysis of NGS data, specifically RNA-Seq, WES, and WGS
  • Extensive experience with standard bioinformatics tools, pipelines, and genomic data formats
  • Proven programming proficiency in Python and R within Linux-based environments
  • Experience with database management and data integration tools
  • Professional background in a medical or clinical context is preferred
