Job Summary

As a Test Engineer in Product Development, you will play a critical role in ensuring that high-tech systems meet the highest quality and reliability standards from the initial concept phase through to series production. Your daily responsibilities include developing and defining comprehensive testing, service life, and validation concepts. You will independently perform functional and system tests on specialized machinery, documenting results and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical design, hardware, software, and service departments. A key part of the role involves gaining deep insights into customer application technologies to derive specific test requirements and technical improvements. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field of study. A technical vocational training (e.g., Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician) is a distinct advantage.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in testing, verification/validation, or product development
  • Professional experience in hardware testing and the use of standard measurement equipment
  • Experience in the independent creation and execution of test and validation concepts
  • Proven experience in documenting experiments and communicating with cross-functional interfaces
  • Understanding of special-purpose machinery manufacturing and associated failure modes
